At CREDIT EXPRESS CANADA, we understand that circumstances may change. This Cancellation Policy explains how applicants and borrowers may request the cancellation of a financing application or financing arrangement.

CREDIT EXPRESS CANADA is a subsidiary of GTA Financial & Investment Corp.

FINTRAC MSB Registration Number: M08235689
Ontario Incorporation Number: 1744616

1. Cancellation of a Financing Application

If you have submitted a financing application but your application has not yet been approved or finalized, you may request its cancellation.

To request cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible:

Phone: +1 672-703-1007
Email: contact@creditexpress-ca.com

When contacting us, please provide sufficient information to allow us to identify your application.

Cancellation requests received before the application has been finalized will be reviewed promptly.

2. Cancellation After Approval

Approval of a financing application does not necessarily mean that funds have already been disbursed.

If you wish to cancel an approved financing request before the funds have been released, contact CREDIT EXPRESS CANADA immediately.

We will review the request according to the status of the application, the applicable financing agreement, and applicable law.

Once funds have been disbursed, cancellation may no longer be treated as a simple application cancellation and may instead be governed by the terms of the applicable financing agreement and applicable consumer protection legislation.

3. Cancellation After Funds Have Been Disbursed

Once financing has been provided, the borrower may have contractual or statutory rights concerning cancellation, withdrawal, early repayment, or other forms of termination, depending on the type of financing and applicable law.

The applicable financing agreement will specify the relevant terms and procedures.

Borrowers should carefully review their financing agreement before requesting cancellation after funds have been disbursed.

If you wish to discuss your options, please contact our team.

4. How to Submit a Cancellation Request

Cancellation requests may be submitted by email or telephone.

By Email

  • Full name;
  • Contact information;
  • Application or agreement reference number, if available;

Our business hours are:

Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

5. Processing of Cancellation Requests

Once we receive a cancellation request, we may need to verify the identity of the person making the request.

This is intended to protect applicants and borrowers against unauthorized changes to their financing requests.

We will review the status of the application or financing agreement and inform the requester of the applicable next steps.

Submitting a cancellation request does not automatically terminate a financing agreement where contractual or legal requirements must first be satisfied.

6. Information and Documentation

Depending on the circumstances, CREDIT EXPRESS CANADA may request additional information or documentation to process a cancellation request.

We may retain certain information relating to the application or financing relationship where required by applicable law, regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, or legitimate business purposes.

Cancellation of an application does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of all information associated with that application.

For more information, please consult our Privacy Policy.

7. Repayment Following Disbursement

If financing has already been disbursed, the borrower may remain responsible for amounts owing under the applicable financing agreement unless the agreement is validly cancelled, terminated, or otherwise resolved in accordance with applicable law.

Any applicable repayment amount, fees, interest, or other charges will be determined according to the financing agreement and applicable legislation.

Borrowers should contact CREDIT EXPRESS CANADA before taking action if they are uncertain about their repayment obligations.

8. Fraudulent or Unauthorized Cancellation Requests

CREDIT EXPRESS CANADA reserves the right to verify cancellation requests and take appropriate measures where there is a concern regarding:

  • Identity theft;
  • Fraud;
  • Unauthorized account activity;
  • False information;
  • Attempts to cancel financing on behalf of another person without authorization.

9. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Cancellation Policy is intended to remove, restrict, or replace any rights that a consumer may have under applicable Canadian or provincial legislation.

Where applicable legislation provides a specific cancellation, cooling-off, disclosure, withdrawal, or other statutory right, that right will apply according to the requirements of the applicable law.

The rights available to a borrower may depend on the type of financing, the purpose of the financing, the borrower’s circumstances, and the applicable jurisdiction.

10. Changes to This Cancellation Policy

CREDIT EXPRESS CANADA may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes to its services, business practices, or applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The latest version will be published on this website with the applicable “Last Updated” date.
